Flippy Flanges – Yellow Shadow

The finished quilt size is 45” x 53.5”

Adding a 3D flange can create depth, shadows, and highlights to your quilt. All templates are included for easy cutting. Construction is all straight seam sewing. Inside blocks are 10” x 10” and border corner blocks are 4” x 4”.

Flippy Flanges - Stacked Shadows

The finished quilt size is 46” x 35”

The stacked colors from dark to light with a 3D flange creates depth and shadows. There is a twist on these shadows to create an angle to the shadow. A link to a video shows you how to create the angled Flippy Flange.

No templates needed for this quilt and construction is all straight seam sewing. My quilt has set in seams, but I found a way to not subject you to the set-in seams! So, no set-in seams needed. 😊

Flippy Flanges – Circles

The finished quilt size is 42.5” x 42.5”

This modified Drunkards Path has two seams in each quarter circle. The magic is in the color placement and addition of the Flippy Flanges to add additional interest.

I also used an ombre and a stripe to add further interest. The flippy flanges will be cut on the bias to have them lay flat when sewn into the seams.

With a little practice the curves can be sewn without pinning. The only pinning I did was to match the circle segments when sewing the blocks together.

Templates are included for easy cutting. 😊
